You Handsome Dog
Handsome was the type of man who when entering a room turned heads
He was aware of this fact and his life was a series of failed relationships
He would date beautiful women and expect them to admire him
You was a church warden and was very happy in his calling
He felt loved by God
And was radiant in his behaviour
He cared for women greatly
But had no time to experience relationships
Dog was a vicars daughter
Her real name was Julie
But she had become accustomed to her cruel name
Although a beautiful person physically she was unattractive
She admitted Handsome from afar
But knew that he was repulsed
When he looked at her
For all the time he spent with beautiful women
Handsome was aware that his looks would fade
And then he would look for a life-partner
Who was not beautiful
At the age of forty-nine You proposed to Dog
During an outing with the choir
She accepted his proposal on the spot
It was the happiest day of her life
The following year she wrote a book
It was called

Coffee
As she rose from her seat on the train Mercy stumbled forward
She was holding a carton of station coffee
The contents splashed violently forward in the direction of a man in a grey suit
Who was due to attend an important meeting in the city
Oh I am so sorry so very sorry
Said Mercy trying to suppress a smile
The man in the suit said nothing
Trevor was standing in the vestibule unaware of the incident
I spilt my coffee and it splashed a city gent
Did it piss him off?
No he said nothing
That as nice of him
Mercy handed the almost empty carton to Trevor
Be a darling and dispose of this will you
No I will go further than that
I will find the most destitute man in this town and present him with this carton and the remains of your coffee
That is a rather cruel thing to consider
It is my greatest gift for I am The Polish Jesus Christ
Said Trevor as he adopted a mock crucifixion pose

In the distance the dusk clouds are gathering
It will be dark within this hour
Frozen in Amber
I am digging a hole within a hole
And documenting the dream lives of angels
