Anna the storms are over the sun is out
It time for us to walk blessed
Golden brown superb in health
Like immortals on earth
Anna are you on something
No
You seem to be very happy this morning
I have been reading Golden Brown by Richard Jefferies
You read a great deal of his work
I am a country lass as you know
My middle name is Amaryllis
Three fruit pickers women were the first people I met
Near a village in Kent
He describes the face of the eldest as being torn and scarred by time and weather
Then he compares them with two young women in the freshness of youth and beauty
Your point being
That these women are fundamentally the same but are poles apart
These hags have born and buried many of their offspring
Life has given them a severe beating
Yet still they toil in the fine fields of Kent
These maidens crush the same grass with their casual feet
Yet have no knowledge of what their future years will bring
Unfinished
loose of bodice ……free of shift
