Poetry & Money

There is no money in poetry

But then there is no poetry

In money either

Who said that Outlaw

Robert Graves

It is nice to see you again

You do not call often

I apologise for that Anna

We both miss you

I would imagine that you do

Do you earn much money from your poetry

I earn very little

This does not bother me as if I was paid

My publishers might want to alter my work

And that would not do at all would it

No I can see that

Who knows Anna and Anna might be discontinued

People might become jealous of your life down here by the sea

That would be dreadful

I feel privileged to have met you both

You created us both Outlaw

I would have not met Anna without you

You have created many others such as Viola and Phillip

You have created so many characters in your poems and fictions

We are all so grateful to you

Would you like a cup of tea

Anna will be back quite soon

Sadly I do not have time as I am on the way to London

I thought I would pop in and say hello

Well then do not be a stranger

As you are always welcome here

We both miss you so very much
