I am a professional beach bum

Today I spent time on a wartime winch

I was writing as normal

But things were different

As I planned to put this poem

Into a sea bottle

And release it into the sea

A trivia perhaps but a fun thing to do

 

Happy Birthday

Totnes Railway Station 

Jame and I miss you 

And a mention too

For China Blue 

 

Totnes Railway Station was opened on the 2oth July 1847

Today is the 20th of July 2022

Exactly 175 years have passed

 

China Blue is a family run business

Not far from the railway station

Jack and Jame enjoy visiting this shop

 

I have a doll which was a gift from Jame

I call it China Blue

After you

 

Totnes is 275 miles from this winch

And if I throw this bottle

Into the sea in the next three minutes

The journey of this poem

Will take (tides permitting)

175 days

Before it arrives in Totnes

 

Jame and I are planning to greet the bottle

On the January 11th 2023

We will then retire to China Blue

For buns and tea
