Gardening with Gurdjieff

Upon meeting the great man

I asked how I might improve my poetry

He told me to abandon it without thought

I said that my gift haunted me without mercy

And it also controlled me fully

With any cessation being impossible

A year passed and without warning I received a handwritten note

From Gurdjieff which in its content was more of an instruction

He told me to find the noisiest cafe in the whole world

And to compose all my future poetry there and nowhere else
