Sister Marie was posing for an aggressive photographer

who was complaining about everything

from the force of the breeze

to the dip dappled light

 

His assistant Agnes

bored and bullied

and very French

was sitting quietly on the bench

he suddenly barked

and she did so in a sullen fashion

 

Sister Marie was always given copies

of the photographs not not chosen

and she gave these to her dear dear friends

including a Rabbi and two Hasidic Jews

but kept the rest to decorate

the walls of her Manhattan apartment
