You invited me to eat at a restaurant at the end of the universe
I drove there as it was only forty minutes out of the city
I wore a suit and tie as I wanted to impress you
You wore a gay summer dress
It was very warm so I removed my tie and placed it in your bag
How you laughed at my discomfort
I do not remember much about the meal apart from it being agreeable
We promised to meet again
You scribbled a note on my place mat
And told me not to read it until we were apart
may this place hold
mountains of memories for you
till we meet again
