La vie sauvage

I live next to a beach and have great views of the sea

My father purchased this house for Julie and I as a wedding gift

It is a nice white house with ribbon balconies and a hidden sun terrace

Where Julie and her friends can sunbathe privately

I actually favour the beach as it is full of many interesting things

There are millions of different pebbles and the sea glass is quite prolific

Add to that the remains of the war time defences and the occasional coin found

Then it is easy to see why I favour the beach above our hidden sun terrace

I have yet to find any sea glass on the terrace or any traces of the war

The only thing I have recently found was Caroline’s bikini top

Which I wish I had not found as Caroline is a large woman

I am often told that I am lucky man with a large beach side house

Along with a beautiful uninhibited wife and her equally uninhibited friends

But all I really want to do is collect fossils and make bracelets from sea glass

Although my life may seem idyllic to others

It is far from that

My life is a brittle life

It is life full of sorrows

C’ est une vie sauvage
