Diamond snows in the desert

I had wandered too far in my dream

And had silently discovered

The diamond snows of the desert

That glistened wildly in the moonlight

My senses were unable to understand

The vastness of the towering dunes

That surrounded me on all sides

It became all too much for me

And I began to weep diamond tears

As many had before me

I closed my eyes and left my dream

I returned to an ordinary life

And instantly regretted my decision

It was raining outside

My bed was warm

Yet it was strangely empty

I knew then that I had begun to fade
