Portishead

Portishead

Green oysters have recently reported peculiarities of balance

I am currently testing the waters for their mineral content

The white oysters consider that supernatural forces are at work

I am keeping an open mind although Minnie’s bed is soaked in blood each morning

So far I have drawn no connections with the misfortunes of the green oysters and my wife’s exhibition of blood

She has been checked by doctors who can find no reason for her blood loss and they have assured us that she is in perfect health

I stay awake at night and watch the blood spill on to the sheets but I am unable to determine its exit

We both have a feeling that we are not alone when we sleep

A Cinema near the Suspension Bridge

Today Minnie and I went to a cinema not far from the suspension bridge

We were watching a Russian film called

Siberian Lady Macbeth

There was a noticeable amount of emerald dust on the plush velvet seats

But we found no oysters

Invasion

I have been told by the authorities that neither Minnie or I will be allowed to leave the city as we have both been contaminated

I have since spoken to Miss Henley who is organising our means of escape

Portishead

I have been reliably informed that the small coastal town has now been secured and the contamination has been contained

There is no longer a population of green oysters

Only the white red and blue oysters remain

House Arrest

It is sad to report that our escape bid failed and that Miss Henley was thrown to her death from the suspension bridge

That is how this city punishes its traitors

We are confined to our house which is surrounded by armed guards

At present we are safe although Minnie is bleeding more profusely during the night

But not to the detriment of her health

Two green oysters are hiding in the attic of our house

I have warned them that escape is futile

But it is only a matter of time

Before they try to escape

A Window in our Bed

During my nocturnal observations of Minnie I have noticed that where her blood it at its thickest a small window exists

Both my wife and I plan to escape through this window

We do not know what awaits us

But if we wait in our house much longer I feel that we will share the fate of the green oysters
