Gerald Winter and Summer

I can remember him on the beach

Sitting with Claudia

Cut downs and a metal tee shirt

Torn with a chic precision

His sea bleached hair slightly wild

Sometimes tied with a red bandana

That was only a few months ago

But now he sells flowers

In front of the railway station

In a heavy army coat collar turned up

He still sports a tan faded by winter

Looking healthy but frozen at the same time

Claudia is in Florida and her postcards

Decorate his sturdy green barrow

Gerald is not sad nor is he happy

If you ask him he will say he is existing

Until the skies become brighter and the air soft
