I have always been fascinated by The Dark Lady of the Sonnets

But I have never really considered her appearance

You and I have been charmed by this mystery Maude

Who was The Dark Lady

If she existed at all

Historians have narrowed this down

But it is only guess work

This said on an ordinary day

In an ordinary town

I missed an ordinary train

So I went online and listened to music

It was then I found a song by a Turkish band

Which I immediately liked

But it was not just the song

As totally by accident

I found the Dark Lady

Pale

Slight

Raven Hair and Raven Eyes

She was the Dark Lady of the Sonnets

I have no idea who she is

Nor do I need to know

Her beauty is enough for me
