On Margate Sands
I can connect
Nothing with nothing
I am watching
The Sea Pool
Being swamped
By an incoming tide
It is a cruel witness
Eliot’s sea shelter
Is now being repaired
After years of neglect
Which has made me
Very Happy
The beach is deserted
Save for visitors from afar
Who appear to be measuring
Each grain of sand
A useless recreation I think
I am collecting sea glass
And looking for interesting stones
The famous light
Is hiding behind the clouds
It will display itself again
