Norah and I have been travelling around Europe in our VW

But now we have returned home to take stock of ourselves

We ate drank slept fucked and sometimes travelled in Middlemass

Norah had named our camper van after her favourite teacher at school

Even though most of the time we lived in our own chaos and filth

There was something very chic about our VW and this rubbed off on us

We met another couple Frabk and Rosee who called their VW Mr Manning

They shared food and introduced us to beaches impossible to find

It was a great friendship and we were sorry to leave them when our journeys split

Occasionally we would stay at a hotel so we could clean deep clean

Norah would book in as Charlotte Corday and I was Louis Celine

Nobody ever questioned our humour possibly because we were English

Our VW is sky blue and white but always dusty and looking tired

We have various paperbacks dotted around the van just for decoration

These were either found or stolen and just happened to be there

Add to that the pads and pencils that Norah uses

Then as you might guess space is a valued commodity

Two of the side windows have never really closed

Which was good for ventilation but less for security

Not that we have anything worth stealing

We are staying with Mother of Olivia now

Whose family seems to own half of Sussex

Joe and Norah are presentable
