Joe during the recent hot spell Annie and I went out for a walk in Anytown by the Sea

Annie had recently split up with Mark and was in high spirits as he was so far up his own arse that he cleaned his teeth from the inside

Hot days and drinking do not mix

We were both stone cold sober

Annie said that she wanted to celebrate and do something spectacular so I dared her to walk down the high street quite topless

She thought this would be fun and took her shirt off

Guess What

Within minutes two cops (men) showed up and asked Annie what she was doing

Walking topless down the High Street as you can see

I chipped in and noted that it is not illegal providing you didn’t intend to disturb or annoy anyone

The taller of the two cops (but less beautiful) checked this and said that technically I was right but seemed obsessed that we had been drinking

We assured him that we were sober

He then asked Annie to put on her shirt which she did without protest

I was the one who was making an issue about it

It was as we were discussing the philosophical aspects of the exhibition that a chap as tall as you are Joe (was it you) wandered past wearing a lovely Laura Ashley dress

Like many women Annie and I found this alarming and offensive

We asked the cops to have a word as I could see that he was pissing a large number of people off

Unlike Annie and her beautiful boobs

We were told that he was well within his rights to wear a dress in public as he was not breaking the law

I asked why Annie had been stopped and the Laura Ashley Guy could wander around without a problem

I then let it fizzle out as we had more important things to do

You often say that you consider that this country is in decay
