This small town when rebuilt

Was constructed using a rigid grid

Which was unique for its time

X John Williams ran the post office

And had done so for a number of years

On the evening of the 27th December 1936

He locked up the post office and retired for the day

This was witnessed by a schoolboy named Charlie Ede

That was the last time that X John Williams was ever seen

Although much discussed no explanation was ever given

As to why a mild manned man of forty seven years

Should vanish without trace in such a mysterious manner

Since his disappearance various sightings have been reported

But none have been confirmed

He is also reported missing after the Lewes avalanche

Which occurred on the 27th of December 1836
