Blue Water in a Skating Park

Whenever I am in Scarborough I always think of time passing
I stay at the Grand Hotel on the sixth floor facing the sea
It is a hotel that knows time above all other things
The four towers indicate the seasons of the year
There are fifty two chimneys counting the passing weeks
And there used to be three hundred and sixty-five rooms
But now there are only two hundred and eighty
Staff have been told to be on the lookout for the missing rooms
I always stay in the Cuthbert Room whilst you stay in the Victoria Room
We should not been seen in each others company but we often sneak off into the town
My name is Blue Water and you are known as Skating Park but we use aliases when staying at the hotel
Because if we are caught together then the consequences would be serious especially for me
You might say that you come here for your health but I have no excuse as my lungs are strong
I might say that I am an architect a sixth child and that I often visit coastal towns to design gardens
But I do not imagine that for a minute I would be believed as architects never visit Scarborough
