I was walking with my dog along the coastal path
When I suddenly discovered
That I was Turkish
This came as a great shock to me
And left my dog rather confused
I was soon exiled to a small village
On the Turkish Armenian border
Because I admitted to loving the sea
It was here that I discovered Christianity
In a discarded honey pot
A month later I was swimming the Bosporus
Which proved rather difficult as I had a club foot
But I did not drown as a passing ship rescued me
And my astonished canine friend
Who thought that we were heading towards Dover
