Deep Sea Diver

Since my youngest years I have always left my final sweet alone

And hope that it admires the randomness of my gesture

This also applies to confectionary that falls from my grasp

In my view these sweets have escaped and are now free

Quite often I pick up sea shells on the beaches near my home

I consider that I am rescuing them from the winter storms

There are now thousands of refugees in my coastal house

But at least I am now at peace
