I am sitting in a railway carriage
A woman heavy with child is sitting by the window
She asks if she may swop seats as the sun is hot
I agree without hesitation and ventilate the carriage further
She offers me refreshment and I ask of the absent father
I am told that the child has a wonderful father
But not in a way that I would understand
The woman alights at the next station after thanking me for my concern
I know that I will never see the woman or her unborn child again
But am aware that her son will influence many with his teachings
