It is relaxing to watch people pass the restaurant during the lighter months
They stroll down the small hill with a certain ease
Few spot the camera that faces them away from the sea
They either walk past its enquiry or sit on the low whitewashed wall under its gaze
Many gather here on memorable evenings to watch the sun retire
Unaware that I can share their leisure at any given time
A couple hug and kiss in the foreground and then vanish stage left
They are replaced by a workman in his blue overalls collecting paper
After his labour he too fades from view into an uninhabited area
Under the four windmills and is soon replaced in my theatre
By four women who are sheltering under their collected parasols
They are heading towards the small sandy beach
Which is often explored but has yet to be conquered
