For the last six years I have lived in Paris

With two gay girls

Both are Spanish

Their names are Elena and Elena

Our cohabitation has worked successfully

Even though I am not queer

They look after my every need

From the outside this seems an odd arrangement

Due to her parentage

Sometimes we collaborate

Blue Mice in Empty Cinemas

Mice quite frequently run between the seats

Of empty cinemas

As the worn carpets are often carelessly cleaned

Due to the stupidity of the low paid cleaners

These mice come in two colours

Blue and Red

I prefer the blue ones

Whereas Elena and Elena prefer the red mice

As they both have emerald green hair

I find that the blue mice are much quieter and more accommodating than the red mice

Who can be quite aggressive when they are near the more expensive seats

We often watch movies together

Our favourite movie is The Dreamers by Bernardo Bertolucci

Although I greatly admire Last Tango in Paris

This view is not shared by Elena and Elena

As they think that Paul is cruel to Jeanne

Whose cunt they both admire

We agree to differ as I consider this Brando’s greatest performance

In The Dreamers the three main characters often bathe together

We copy this recreation

It gives us an opportunity to read our poems to each other

In Spanish French and English

I would not call our baths together cultural but they certainly work

My sister considers it a kind of performance art

And we have been invited to recreate it in a local gallery

The owner will pay us each 1000 euros and two cases of the finest bath salts

Elena and Elena have agreed as the owner is gay but I have reservations as my penis is quite small

We could certainly could do with the money as I have recently lost my job in the city zoo

I was told that they no longer employ poets as this can agitate the monkeys and certain reptiles

Thankfully both of my flatmates are working which means that we only need to tighten our belts
