I wonder if Julius Caesar and his pals realised when landing in Walmer Kent

That nearly two thousand years later a rather fine fish and chip shop

Would have faced their secluded beach of invasion

 

I often think of this when queuing for my lunch

And try to reason why the Dover Road

Is not as straight as it should have been

 

 

 

It is recorded that Julius Caesar landed on a beach in Walmer Kent in 55BC
