Harry Forrester & Sara

My sister and I are relaxing on a pair of bright red loungers on the narrow sun deck

It is green yellow and soft salmon pink which suits its location near the sea

These colours were not of our choosing but we have accepted them

As they contrast favourably with the deep blue sky on days such as this

Sara is reading The Times which is her favourite newspaper

She tells me that todays edition carries a naked picture of Vivien Leigh

Which was taken on her honeymoon shortly after her marriage to Laurence Olivier

These photographs now have been published some eighty years after the event

The whole thing is a little haunting as the lovers are now long dead

If I was a movie star I would be glad if The Times carried a naked photograph of me

But you are not a movie star and besides you are a shy person who lacks confidence

Real life and reality are far stronger than fantasy but it is good to dream

I often dream it is fine to dream everybody dreams as they sink further into reality

Reality may be a dream a foul dream at times but it also can be a thing of beauty

I am standing up looking out to sea through the Lazarus trees that partially obscured the view

Sara has closed her eyes the newspaper is now on the wooden deck fluttering in the light morning breeze

It is going to be quite warm today and my sister and I are planning to spend the afternoon on the beach
