By the time that I arrived at the film festival

Many films had already been shown

I apologised for my lateness

But this was due to matters

Beyond my control

As my bus had been removed

From its resting site and I had had to walk

To make amends I have brought

The front passenger seat with me

Knowing that it would happily submit to interviews

I was offered a swanky Gatsby hotel

But was happy with a smaller establishment

With two modest and airy rooms

My interviews will be quite informal

Indeed it is likely that I will be holding

A cup of machine made coffee

And will start fiddling with the plastic spoon

As interviews tend to make me nervous

Especially in the South of France
