There are many people out there

Who do not appreciate Brutalism

I feel very sorry for these people

Up to about ten years ago

There was a bus station in Slough

Which was absolutely beautiful

But it was much hated

By the people of Slough and was demolished

It was replaced by a rather odd looking building

Which I confess that I rather like

At the time of its destruction I wrote

That they should demolish Slough and its people

And leave the lovely bus station for me to enjoy

Whilst I am waiting for the numbers 6 or 28 to Windsor

 

Ryde Tower

When they demolished Ryde Tower

I must confess I wept as it was so beautiful

The destruction aggravated my fear of flying

And now I work full time in a bakery
