In 1979 nearly one million pounds was stolen from a bank in Zurich

No violence was used as the gang burrowed in from a sewer

Although the robbery was well planned many of the gang were subsequently caught

But the proceeds of the robbery have never been recovered

Each year on the anniversary of the crime

The police in Zurich receive a photograph or a line drawing

From the daughter of one of the gang members

She is seen sitting on a pile of cash wearing a black shirt

 

There is a crack in the hall floor

In the apartment block where I live

It has never been repaired

I have complained about this

But have been told that it does not exist

This is not true as I often put my fingers

Into this crack whilst making coffee
