Today was the anniversary of anniversary

Of something quite odd in my life

Something that I would rather keep

In a small wooden drawer

To celebrate this anniversary I purchased

A meerkat dressed in a maroon dressing down

It was an odd choice

As the poor creature

Looked as startled as I did

Even though it has a passion for golf

A passion that we share
