At about two thirty this morning
You turned around to hold me
In our centre bed
And although I was half asleep
I enjoyed the feel of your breasts against my back
And the caress of your soft pubes against my arse
All was silent in our coastal room as the moon shone
With a light abandon through our shine windows
I will buy that bear my love
You shall always have that bear
You said almost silently as your fingers stroked my shoulder
That will be nice so very nice
I replied as I broke from a distant dream
But it was not to be for when your returned from the town
Your bag was thin and lacked the bulk of my dream gift
When I mentioned this to you the words were denied
You had no memory of the promise nothing at all
I would have called the bear Mr Roosevelt
What a handsome bear you are you are
What a handsome bear you are
