My doctor removed my bandages in the middle of the night

And told me to look out of the window and report what was visible

I saw nothing and supposed that I was still blind which saddened me

But after an hour or so I saw an orange glow low on the grey horizon

This was the most beautiful sunrise that I had ever seen and I immediately

Asked for my brushes so that I could record this joyous moment
