The Sad Jewess

Not many summers ago

I saw a beautiful Jewess

With raven hair and raven eyes

Weeping by a wooden fence

I enquired about the source

And saw that she was loosely shackled

She told me that her husband had trapped her

As he was jealous of her considerable beauty

And did not want her to breathe or simply stray

I said that no man has the right to possess such beauty

And ripped the low fence post from the ground

Journey of the Magi (Fragment)

He was resting in his soft crib

Covered only by a shepherds cloth

Nearby at the eastern railway station

Three men could be seen studying the stars

As they began their journey through the pilgrims city
