Trains & Murakami

I have met the

sixfortythree

on consecutive

Saturdays

(but have only travelled once)

The early geraniums

are huddled against

the north wind

they are as chilled as I am

(but have a warm perfume)

The steam special

is today hauled by a diesel

but the carriages

remain the same

(it has a long journey)

As I leave

I note

kimono patterns

on the leaves

(summer is on its way)
