Taunton Station 1

A black cat looked

at a glass of red wine

in the sun lounge

at the station

it considered

the feelings

of the grapes

as they were crushed

I have arranged

the seeds

of these unfortunate grapes

on the platform

in remembrance  

 

Taunton Station 2

If you sleep

in the rest room

you will not dream of travelling

but of cats

 

Taunton Station 3

When night falls

the trains

will be illuminated

in celebration of your dreams

 

Taunton Station 4

I have never seen

a ship passing by

ships do not pass

through Taunton Station

 

Dawlish Black Swan

On the night of the gentle storm

a black swan sat next to me

and discussed the voyages

of Captain Van der Decken

I did not listen as my train had arrived

 

Travelling to Teignmouth

When travelling to Teignmouth

a mermaid sold me a ticket

(as my station was closed)

she asked to borrow my jacket

as the wind (was turning) had changed

and the she was on the later shift that evening
