Inspector Changerfield’s Last Case


Was of a medium size and held together by a sturdy steel frame. It was covered in soft black synthetic leather and had his initials ABC displayed in gold relief.

This was his retirement present from his colleagues after forty years on the force and as history records played a large part in The Case of the Missing Inspector.

In the Spring of 1967 after being seen at the bus station in Bala the inspector vanished. The nearby hills were searched and the whole area was scouted but no trace of the missing inspector was ever found.

The case was declared cold in 2014 and still sits in the archives of Bala Police Station awaiting developments.
