During her last outing Eveline Maude watched as a herd of goats progressed towards her along the gleaming chalk path

Suddenly and without warning three of the goats stood up on their hind legs and began to touch the low light clouds

Eveline smiled and asked her father why they should do such a thing

They do not want your summer to end and are parting the clouds for you my dear so that you may feel the humming silence that surrounds you
