For a while to the west of the town

A rainbow curved brightly in the grey sky

A few people noticed the display

But most missed it

As they were sheltering from the rain

Two mothers with their babies snugly held

Stopped to enjoy the vivid theatre

And both their babies

With infantile glee

Slowly counted the many colours
