I am standing at your window
Looking at the lush countryside
That surrounds your house
A horse is staring at me
As it always does when I visit you
Rebecca is wearing her red coat
And is going to the shop with Sacheverell
My apple pie is cooling on the table
We will eat it when Rebecca returns
With brown sugar and cream
It may be cool today
But July is such a kind month
Especially here in the borderlands
Later I will walk to the rivers curve
With its distant views of the hills
And toast your safe return
