This mysterious rhyme dropped from the pocket of John Wilkes Booth soon after he assassinated Abraham Lincoln

Historians have tried to decipher the code but have achieved little success

More contemporary and cruder versions of the famous rhyme are occasionally to be seen hidden within the graffiti that can be found in most major American cities

This particular example was found in Chicago
