Natter Nay was a lighthouse keeper
It was the only life he knew
He shared his many shifts with a mermaid
She covered for him when he travelled to the mainland
Which gave him a great pleasure as the was very beautiful
With long golden hair and impressive breasts
Through his mermaid he learnt a lot about mermaids
And left perfumed soaps on the high rocks
So that his sea visitors might smell fresh and sweet
It is a well known fact that mermaids
Grow land legs out of the sea
Natter’s mermaids were no different
And they built small crofts on the island
Where they often summered
On the hottest and calmest of days
