My beach is losing the last of its summer softness

It is brittle and without charm

And even on the bright days

Its colours are muted and fail to glow

Storms will soon change the geography of this resting beach

And when I return high on the mild winds

Only my memories will identify the happy places

Where once I rested during my deep summer days
