She was ready to elope with her engine driver

They had made plans to move away

But her brothers soon became aware of her cunning idea

And tried to persuade her to stay

 

But she was blinded by her impossible love

And her brothers had to protect their sister

So they removed the rails of the driver’s road

Just to prove how much they would miss her

 

 

In Ulster in 1858 a girl fell in love with an engine driver and planned to elope with him on his train

To stop this happening her brothers diverted the train into a bog
