The dust from the cornfields
Was beginning to settle
On the surface of the quiet canal
As I walked slowly along the towpath
To be truthful I was unaware of the drama
As I was trapped within my own thoughts
Occasionally these dreams were disturbed
By the sounds of passing trains
But this diversity did not last long
And I retired to my journey without display
