An Angel Visited Me Today

An angel visited me today

But I was not at home

I was climbing an impossible mountain

When the angel became aware of this fact

She left me a message of joy

Noting that I would come to no harm

because I am a fallen angel

 

Calm Afternoon

The best time to see angels

Is during the doldrums of the afternoon

These tiny creatures become insipid and lazy

And can be seen resting on the leaves of house plants

Or in the cool branches of small trees

But once the evening air stiffens they regain their strength

And then are much harder to find
