I spent by childhood living in an house
That was situated between the High Level and Low Level stations
In East Grinstead
It was a blissful childhood as my father was the stationmaster of the High Level Station
And my mother was the stationmaster at the Low Level station
I also had a twice adopted sister who made the scones and looked after the buffets two
When I was thirteen my parents emigrated to New Guinea with my thrice adopted sister
They sold our house which was named Equidistant due to its location between the stations and left me alone
For a while I travelled the world and when I was fourteen I married a branch line in East Kent
I now live in the main bus station in Stoke-on-Trent where I am employed as an interior designer
Watching Trains
My East Grinstead years were often illuminated by the visits of my beautiful cousin
Who although she looked like a rabbit was the image of my thrice adopted sister
We were both very keen on train spotting and shared our shifts
Between the High Level and Low Level stations although the hours were long
On Sundays there were no trains so we both went to the local places of worship
Where we counted both the High Church and Low Church hymn books
My cousin is now the Japanese Prime Minister
