After we had made love Esther and I walked to the green park

We rested in the shadows of a massive oak tree

Which was welcome as the day was hot and without air

 

We must have rested for about half and hour

When suddenly there was an enormous crash

And the brittle sound of breaking glass

 

When we looked up we saw that a refuse lorry

Had backed into the redbrick toilets

Thankfully no-one had been hurt but the building was much damaged

 

We waited for a few minutes but noticed that the air smelt of shit

So we made our escape and returned to our sweaty apartment

Where we fucked for the rest of the afternoon
