Today is the first day in June and the weather has welcomed it in with a bright celebration
The heavy trees hang lazily in the early light and the grasses once so ordered are now rebelling
Summer has arrived and it is the time for travel
I am sitting in my cool lounge reading a copy of The Rough Guide to Barcelona
Which I picked up for a song off of a supermarket shelf
I have never visited Spain although its blood travels thickly through my veins
Trains run to Barcelona from the railway station which is only yards from my house
But I seem to always travel in the opposite direction which is a little sad
So for the present I will just read this small purple book
And work out the itineraries of our journey’s to come
