How I adore these dark January days
Where the light never really matures
And the village is pistol whipped
By the cruel winter winds
Our beach remains quite shapeless
Battered by the unforgiving seas
And giant waves threaten
The pretty fishing cottages
Adding to the bleakness dull grey
From the diary of Sally-Anne Webb (Torcross)
