Against better advice I ventured onto the beach
I soon regretted this as the ice rain was stinging my eyes
And my exposed hands were raw red raw raw
All this because I was searching for my grey granite
As I returned home I passed the drenched beach trees
That only a few months ago had provided shelter
When the heat on the beach became too much to endure
And we had to accept refuge under their cool shady limbs
