The Statue

The statue from antiquity stood not far from the main road in a builder’s yard

She was holding a drape in an effort to protect her modesty

Just run across the yard as nobody is around

If you are busting for a piss what does it matter

Here let me take the drape as it is not covering your butt

Just as I finished my sentence a car went by and sounded its horn

Nice arse darling

 Give us a smile

Forgot your knickers have you

I am bursting for a piss but I cannot move

Take no notice of them

But I am so embarrassed

Just run but do not trip and then we can leave this godforsaken yard

You know we cannot

I have lived here for many years

One day I will release you

But I will stay

I have to stay

I took the drape from the statue and beckoned her forward but it was too late as she had pissed herself

She began to cry

I told her that statues do not cry and wiped her tears away with the drape

I am going to stink of piss you know

Do not worry as those clouds will bring heavy rain and you will be clean once more
