The Life of Albert Camus

Camus once spoke about the absurdity of being killed in a car crash

I think that he should have added that it would be just as absurd

To die of a smoking related disease after too many cigarettes

Or to drink oneself to death in middle age

Ophelia smiled at me but averted her gaze

I am going to jump off of the Dover cliffs tomorrow

Would consider that absurd Phillip

Are you suicidal

No I am happy with you and my life

Then why are you planning to jump from the Dover cliffs

Because I am interested in the mysteries of flight

But does not your education tell you that you will be smitten on the rocks below

I might fly like the sea birds

You have no wings

How do know that

I have seen you naked

You have no wings

Do you find my theatre absurd

No I find it quite enjoyable

But do not jump from the cliffs tomorrow

I do not intend to

It was never my intention to jump from the cliffs

That is good to know

I may have wings you know

But I choose not to fly
